The Client

We previously helped Forex trader homeowner, Tamara, who trades from home. She is a parent of two and internet connection is paramount for her job, so she needed to have strong connectivity in her home. She contacted us to help create a new data cabling plan throughout her home so she would have stronger connectivity.

Tamara had many devices, making it difficult to get good Wi-Fi coverage throughout the house and home office. She also wanted to ensure that any wireless devices would be easy for her children to use. Having a small family paired with a demanding office job that required a stable connection, it was time to get the Data Cable Installation experts in.

The Challenge

Our client recently bought a new property, but there was no network coverage in the outhouse, where she wanted to set up her home office.

She needed fast connection speeds when placing trades, but the current network in her main house wouldn’t reach the outhouse. Tamara tried to get a separate broadband deal for the office but were told that she could not have broadband circuits coming into the property.

We needed to find a solution that would allow our client to separate work and home life by providing her with an office space connectivity that could be easily accessed and had instant Wi-Fi connection.

The Outcome

We ran a Cat6 data cable from her home router out to her outhouse and mounted an Ubiquiti Pro wireless access point. This gave her 300mbps download speed, and 30mbps upload speed.

Tamara was able to link multiple devices in her outhouse to her existing network. The setup saved her money because she didn’t have to take out a contract for another broadband package. In addition, she went from no connectivity to a strong connection in the outhouse. Tamara can now work in peace!

This was such a smooth and easy transaction that I wish this company could have done more for me. Having such difficulty with other tradesmen Date Cable Installation were a delight to work with.
